Wills
A will controls the distribution of the assets of your
estate. If you die without one, assets
may not be divided as you intend because the State writes your will for
you. We help clients draft wills that
can prevent surviving family member disputes and ensure young children are
properly cared for through testamentary trusts.

Powers of Attorney
A power of attorney authorizes someone to make legal
decisions on your behalf. It may
authorize someone to have access to your bank accounts to pay necessary bills,
or as an advance medical directive (living will) it authorizes how specific
medical decisions should be made in the event you are incapacitated. Call today for a free in-office initial
consultation.
Probate/Estates
Probate is the legal process by which a deceased persons’
property (the “estate”) is transferred to his or her heirs, with or without a
will, and legatees (people named in the will).
Probate only controls property owned by the decedent in his or her
individual name alone. Property held
jointly, in living trusts, life insurance and retirement accounts with
beneficiaries, pass automatically at death and are not included. We assist with selling real estate and
guiding Executors on paying bills and in distributing assets to the estate
beneficiaries. The more duties the
Executor performs, the lower our fees become.
